Commercial Photography
Contemporary Photography has many year’s experience of professional photography in Ireland, the UK and other parts of Europe.
Educated at Amersham School of Art and the University of Westminster Oliver became a qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photography, the Master Photographer’s Association and the Royal Photographic Society.
Most of his working career has been spent based in London, where personal clients have ranged from philanthropist Sir Sigmund Sternberg, and advertising agency brothers Charles and Maurice Saatchi, to footballer Tony Adams, former England Captain.
Photographic assignments have been carried out to fund raise for the Sporting Chance Clinic, the Kati Jacobs Appeal for Crohn’s Disease, the Rhys Daniels Trust and MacMillan Cancer Support.
Oliver has been the resident photographer at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Syon House and the Savoy Hotel London, and carried out assignments at many venues including St James & Kensington Palaces, the Palace of Westminster and the Banqueting House Whitehall.
He was at the forefront of the development of workflow systems to facilitate the introduction of digital photography to the social photography market, sponsored by Fujifilm.
The client list has included American Express, Credit Lyonnais, AA Insurance Services, French bank Crédit Lyonnais, Guinness Peat Aviation, Arsenal Football Club, Goldman Sachs, The Royal Horticultural Society, The Magistrates Association, Nat West Bank, Fortnum and Mason, Kensington Palace, The Royal College of Physicians , cookware company Le Creuset, wine accessory company Screwpull, Historic Royal Palaces, Espana, the Spanish Tourist Board, Sabatier Knives, Fujifilm UK, the British School of Osteopathy, French wine companies Remy Pannier and Ackerman Laurance, BP PLC, and perhaps most unusual, an organisation set up under the patronage of King John in 1194: The Coroners Society of England and Wales.
